Think of the Public Information Team as the storytellers and connectors of an organization. From crafting catchy social media posts to designing eye-catching posters, this team keeps everyone connected. If you love sharing ideas, working with others, and exploring your creative side consider joining the Public Information Team! This team is generally responsible for the following:

  • Photography
  • Graphic design
  • Drafting Letters
  • Social media (external and internal pages)
  • YKSAR website
  • Media releases
  • Advertising for events

The Volunteer Resources Team is all about keeping things organized and running as smooth as possible. This team is all about teamwork, connection, and turning good intentions into great impact. This team is generally responsible for:

  • Coordinating the volunteer recruitment campaigns with the Public Information Team
  • Tracking volunteer hours
  • Receiving volunteer applications
  • Ensuring necessary paperwork is received and documented
  • Maintaining volunteer files
  • Connection new volunteers with inter-organizational teams
  • Drafting job descriptions
  • Planning volunteer appreciation events

The Fund Development Team are our the treasure hunters that help keep money flowing in the account so YKSAR can continue to provide services to those who need it. They search for grants, sponsorships and fundraising ideas that non-profit organizations like YKSAR rely on. This team is generally responsible for:

  • Writing thank you letters
  • Writing to potential donors
  • Developing a fund development campaign
  • Organizing fundraising events such as bingos
  • Researching grant opportunities and applying for grants
